Acas (the Advisory, Conciliation and Arbitration Service) is a non-departmental public body whose purpose is to promote and facilitate strong employment relations in the UK. The site contains advice on employment law for employees and employers, as well as codes of practice (currently accessible via “Search website”). Research papers, a variety of advisory handbooks, booklets and leaflets, and Annual Reports 1999-2000 onwards are currently available on an archived version of ACAS’s old web site, accessible via the link to “search the previous Acas website” in the results of a search of the site.
