The Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) has been the independent regulator of solicitors in England and Wales since January 2007. Its web site includes the current version of the SRA Handbook which came into effect on 6 October 2011 and incorporates the formerly separate Solicitors’ Code of Conduct and Solicitors’ Accounts Rules.
