The Barrister is an independent magazine, published quarterly, which is aimed at barristers practising in the UK. Articles 2003 onwards are available via the “Archived Articles” menu.

Competition Law Review

Competition Law Review is a refereed online journal published twice a year from 2004 onwards by the Competition Law Scholars Forum (CLaSF), an organisation which aims to promote competition law scholarship in the UK, member states of the EU, and states which may accede to the EU. All issues to date are available to download free of charge.

DOAJ

DOAJ is the Directory of Open Access Journals, a project which aims to increase the visibility and ease of use of free, full text, quality controlled scientific and scholarly journals. It includes basic information on and links to over 500 legal journals from jurisdictions worldwide, and is searchable by either journal or article.

European Journal of Current Legal Issues

Formerly titled the Web Journal of Current Legal Issues, the EJoCLI is an open access refereed journal covering legal issues in judicial decisions, law reform, legislation, legal research, legal information and related topics. It is currently edited at the Lancaster University School of Law. Issues 1995-2012 are held on the BAILII web site and readily accessible there via a link. Issues 2013 onwards are available on the EJoCLI site.

European Journal of Law and Technology

The European Journal of Law and Technology (EJLT) is a refereed open access journal published up to three times a year 2010 onwards and featuring articles, discussions and reviews relating to IT law and applications. A link is available to the journal’s predecessor, the Journal of Information, Law and Technology 1996-2009. The journal began as part of the Electronic Law Journals collaborative project between the University of Strathclyde and the University of Warwick.

In-House Lawyer

The In-House Lawyer is a quarterly journal published by Legalease Ltd and aimed at in-house counsel of the UK and EMEA (Europe, the Middle East and Africa). Content freely available on its web site includes articles from recent issues, a collection of Legal Briefings 2009 onwards, and recent press releases.

Law Society Gazette

The weekly Law Society Gazette is distributed free of charge to all solicitors in England and Wales with a current practising certificate. New content appears online in advance of the printed copy, and there is a searchable archive of articles, January 1994 onwards.

Law Society of Scotland: Journal

The Journal is the monthly magazine for Scottish solicitors. Select “Search the Archive” for the complete text of articles from December 1998 onwards.

Socialist Lawyer

Socialist Lawyer is the journal of the Haldane Society of Socialist Lawyers, published three or four times a year. The web site includes the complete text of most issues Winter 1986 to June 2016, in PDF format.
