Department of Finance and Personnel: Building Regulations
The Department of Finance and Personnel (DFP) is responsible for building regulations within Northern Ireland. This section of its web site provides background information together with links to the Building Regulations (Northern Ireland), which are published as Statutory Rules on the Legislation.gov.uk web site, and to the primary legislation under which the Rules are made. The Technical Booklets - guidance on meeting the requirements of the Building Regulations which is published by the DFP - are reproduced on the site.

Planning Portal: Building Regulations
This area of the Planning Portal web site provides information and guidance aimed at users who have some familiarity with the Building Regulations and the building control system. Within the "Building Regulations" section there are links to the Building Regulations (and amendments), which are published as Statutory Instruments on the Legislation.gov.uk web site and to relevant Acts. The related Approved Documents - guidance on meeting the requirements of the Building Regulations which is published by the Department for Communities and Local Government - are also reproduced on the site in the "Building Regulations" section.

Scottish Government: Building Standards
The Building Standards Division, part of the Scottish Government's Directorate for the Built Environment, carries out the duties of the Scottish Ministers set out in the Building (Scotland) Act 2003. These include responsibility for writing the Scottish building regulations. The web site reproduces both the Act and the Regulations made under it. Many guidance documents are available to download, chiefly the Technical Handbooks (domestic and non-domestic) and the Procedural Handbook, 3rd edition 2010.

Technology and Construction Court
The Technology and Construction Court (TCC) was formerly (before October1998) known as the Official Referees' Court. It deals principally with disputes arising in such specialist fields as engineering, technology and building. The TCC section of the Justice portal site provides judgments (via a link to the BAILII site), and guidance documents such as the Technology and Construction Court Guide and User's Guide to Adjudication.
