This Anguilla government site includes the full text of selected legislation relating to companies, partnerships and trusts, the Anguilla Financial Services Authority code of practice, and a comparison table relating to a number of Caribbean offshore jurisdictions.

Barbados Supreme Court

The Barbados Supreme Court site includes a Judgments section providing full text of unreported Court of Appeal and High Court judgments, 2000 onwards, as well as cases in the following volumes of the Barbados Law Reports: vol.2 (1958-1960) and vol.30 (1994).

Belizelaw.org

Belizelaw.org is the official web site of Belize's Ministry of the Attorney General. Site content includes an online, searchable version of the Laws of Belize, revised edition 2000, the Supreme Court (Civil Procedure) Rules 2005 and general information on the Supreme Court and the judiciary. The following judgments are available - but note that coverage is incomplete for the earlier years: Supreme Court (Criminal) 1977 onwards; Supreme Court (Civil) 1972 onwards; Court of Appeal (Criminal) 1977 onwards; Court of Appeal (Civil) 1987 onwards. Judgments will be found in the "e-library" section.

British Virgin Islands Financial Services Commission

The Commission is the regulatory authority for all financial services business operating in and from within the British Virgin Islands. The site's "Legislation Library" has full text (pdf) of legislation relating to the following sectors: anti-money laundering, banking and fiduciary services, general, insolvency, insurance, investment business and Registry for Corporate Affairs. There is also an extensive "Form Library".

Caribbean Court of Justice

This Court was established in 2005, and in addition to replacing the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council as a court of final appeal for member states of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM), it is vested with an original jurisdiction in respect of the interpretation and application of the Treaty Establishing the Caribbean Community. The web site contains the Rules of the court, information on the judges and on the administration of the court. All judgments of the Court are available, in pdf.

Caribbean Court of Justice: A Research Guide

This guide, on the LLRX.com web site, is written by Yasmin Morais, Resident Librarian at Georgetown University Law Center, Edward Bennett Williams Law Library, Washington, D.C., and was published February 2008. It traces the court's history and outlines its mandate and structure. It also provides information on the court's funding, its justices and recent judgments.

CaribInLaw

CaribInLaw is a gateway site providing legal information relating to English-speaking Caribbean countries. Within each country in the Country Links section the information is sub-divided as follows: Government Departments and Institutions; Legislation; Treaties; Judgments; Lawyers, Law Firms and Legal Institutions; Legal Articles; and General. Other site sections include Regional Links and General Links.

Cayman Islands Government

The official web site of the Cayman Islands Government provides information about the legal system and contacts for government departments and agencies. There is a link to the separate web site of the government's Gazette Office, where legal notices are available in the Cayman Islands Gazette 2004 onwards and Acts, Regulations and Bills in the Gazette supplement, also 2004 onwards. Also available on the Gazette Office site is the latest annual Consolidated Index of Laws and Subsidiary Legislation in force.

Cayman Islands Information: Business, Taxation & Offshore

This site, part of the Lowtax Global Tax & Business portal, provides information and news regarding the legal and tax regimes primarily of "low-tax" or offshore jurisdictions. The "Cayman Islands Law of Offshore" section here concentrates on Trust law, Banking, Insurance and Mutual Funds. The regime is discussed in some detail; however individual statutes are not reproduced in full.

Cayman Islands Monetary Authority

Cayman Islands Laws and Regulations relating to banking, trusts, companies, insurance, investment business etc. are available on this web site, as well as the Authority's own Regulatory Handbook. See "Regulatory Framework".

Cayman Islands: Judicial Administration & Portfolio of Legal Affairs

This is an official web site shared by two Cayman Islands administrations: the Judicial Administration and the Portfolio of Legal Affairs. It provides information on the courts and their officers, court rules and practice directions, and lists of attornies and law firms. Provision of case law is in development. At the moment there are cases from the Cayman Islands Law Reports, 1952-2010. Access is free of charge but registration is required. Legislation is accessible via an alphabetical list. Anonymised Grand Court judgments 2004-2005 are available without registration.

Central Bank of Belize

The Laws and Regulations section of the Central Bank's web site gathers together the major legislation governing the supervision and regulation of banks, credit unions and other financial institututions in Belize.

CommonLII: Caribbean Law Project

The Caribbean Law Project is a resource within CommonLII (the Commonwealth Legal Information Institute) providing access to legal information from all Caribbean jurisdictions. There are two main components. "Databases" contain material available via CommonLII, and "Catalog and Websearch" enables searches of Caribbean law on other web sites. Coverage includes cases, legislation, treaties and other materials.

Eastern Caribbean Securities Regulatory Commission

The Eastern Caribbean Securities Regulatory Commission regulates securities dealing in Anguilla, Antigua & Barbuda, Dominica, Grenada, Montserrat, St Kitts & Nevis, St Lucia and St Vincent & The Grenadines. It operates under the Securities Act 2001, which is available on the site along with the Rules of the Commission and Regulations and Statutory Orders from the various territories concerned.

Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court

The Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court (ECSC) is a superior court of record for member states of the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS). Its web site contains lists of judgments, April 1996 onwards, from Anguilla, Antigua & Barbuda, British Virgin Islands, Dominica, Grenada, Montserrat, St. Kitts & Nevis, St. Lucia and St. Vincent & the Grenadines, with links to full text. Also on the site are cause lists, Court Rules, practice directions 2002 onwards, and information about the Court and its officers.

Government of Antigua & Barbuda: Laws Online

The web site of the Ministry of Legal Affairs contains the Revised Laws of Antigua and Barbuda, 1992 and annual laws 1993 onwards, all in pdf format. Selected Statutory Instruments 2006 onwards and Bills before Parliament are also available.

Government of St Christopher & Nevis: Financial Services Regulatory Commission: Law Library

The Law Library section of this official St Kitts government web site contains current legislation relating to money laundering, companies, limited partnerships, financial services, foundations, anti-terrorism, trusts, merchant shipping and other areas.

Guide to Caribbean Law Research

A narrative account of Caribbean legal systems and legal research, with hypertext links to the sources mentioned, is provided here on the GlobaLex web site. The author is Yemisi Dina, Head of Public Services at Osgoode Hall Law Library, York University, Toronto. This updated version was published January/February 2010.

International Financial Services Authority of St Vincent and the Grenadines

The "Laws and Regulations" section of this site contains the legislation of St Vincent and the Grenadines relating to banking, companies, insurance, money laundering and trusts. These are all in pdf. There is a brief outline of the legal system.

Judiciary of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago

The Judiciary's web site provides information about judges and the magistracy, High Court judgments 1997-2008, Court of Appeal judgments 2001-2007, the Consolidated Orders and Rules of the Supreme Court, Civil Proceedings Rules and Family Proceedings Rules.

Laws of Trinidad and Tobago

Prepared by the Law Revision Commission, this is the revised edition of the Laws of Trinidad and Tobago updated to 31 December 2009, made available on the Ministry of Legal Affairs web site. Laws are grouped under subject headings (i.e. in chapter order) and also listed alphabetically.

Ministry of Justice [Jamaica]

This official government web site gives information on the court system and the work of the legal departments and officers of Jamaica. Laws can be searched via the "View Laws Online" menu on the home page. Family Procedure Rules, Court of Appeal Rules and Civil Procedure Rules are also available from the home page.

The Ministry of Legal Affairs here provides the Laws of Guyana in pdf, and in chapter order.

Mourant Ozannes

Mourant Ozannes is an offshore law firm with offices in the British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, Guernsey, Jersey, Hong Kong and London. It was formed in June 2010 by a merger of Mourant du Feu & Jeune and Ozannes. Short "Client Briefings" on matters relating to the four offshore jurisdictions may be found in the site's Publications section.

OECS Bar Association

The OECS Bar Association comprises the Bars of those Caribbean islands that belong to the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (Antigua & Barbuda, Dominica, Grenada, Montserrat, St. Kitts & Nevis, St Lucia, and St Vincent & the Grenadines) together with Anguilla and the British Virgin Islands. At present under construction, the web site provides a directory of members of the Bar in each territory and the Association's code of ethics.

Ogier

The law firm Ogier has offices in various locations including Jersey, Guernsey, the British Virgin Islands, the Cayman Islands and Hong Kong. Information on legal developments particularly in those four jurisdictions is provided in the Publications section of the site, mostly in the form of case summaries and client briefings.

Parliament of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago

Content under the site's Publications menu option includes Bills, 1998 session onwards; Acts, 1999 onwards; Hansard (debates for both Houses), July 1990 onwards; and constitutional documents.

Pinnacle St Lucia

This is an online IBC (International Business Companies) registry set up with the backing of the St Lucia government. The major Acts governing financial services are available to download together with regulations made under each, and amending legislation.

Supreme Court, Jamaica

This site provides selected full-text judgments of Jamaica's Supreme Court and Court of Appeal, 2005 onwards and links to legislation on the Ministry of Justice and Parliament sites.

Trinidad and Tobago Law and Legal Research

This research guide to Trinidad and Tobago law, from the GlobaLex site, is contributed by Catherine A. Deane and Vincent Moyer, both of the University of California Hastings College of the Law, and was published November 2009.

Virgin Islands Official Gazette

The Official Gazette is the official publication of the Government of the British Virgin Islands. The Gazette itself contains government notices; bills, acts and statutory instruments are circulated along with it. It is published weekly, with extraordinary editions appearing as necessary on other days. Free registration permits unlimited access to Gazettes for two months following publication; an enhanced subscription service is also available, allowing complete access to all Gazettes.
