The Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority (IPSA) was created by the Parliamentary Standards Act 2009 to provide a new scheme for the reimbursement of expenses incurred by MPs in doing their work. Information on its web site includes the text of the scheme, which became operational on 7 May 2010.

The National Assembly for Wales is a devolved assembly, now (since the coming into effect in May 2007 of the Government of Wales Act 2006) with power to make primary legislation (originally "Assembly Measures" and from 2011 "Acts") in certain areas. These areas include education, the environment, health and social care, housing, social welfare, transport and others. Site content includes records of proceedings; Standing Orders; a guide to the legislative process; details of Assembly Acts, Bills and subordinate legislation 2011 onwards (all with links to texts); and a link to the Government of Wales Act 2006.

The Assembly was established as part of the Belfast Agreement and is the prime source of authority for all devolved responsibilities. It has full legislative and executive authority. The site includes a directory of members; Official Report (Hansard) July 1998 onwards; Bills 1999 onwards; and tables showing progress of Statutory Rules. The site also includes Minutes of Departmental and Standing Committee meetings.

The Leader of the House of Commons is the Cabinet minister responsible for arranging government business, including the introduction of government Bills, in the House of Commons. Information here on the GOV.UK web site includes the Business Statements, made each Thursday when the House is sitting and announcing the business for the following week and provisional business for the subsequent week.

The Office of the Parliamentary Counsel (OPC) consists of a specialised team of about 50 lawyers based in Whitehall, with support staff, whose main work is drafting government Bills for introduction into Parliament and related Parliamentary business. Forming part of the Cabinet Office, it was until recently known as the Parliamentary Counsel Office (PCO). There is information on the OPC's role and links to various publications such as the OPC's Drafting Guidance.

The Parliamentary Ombudsman and the Health Service Ombudsman (two separate posts, held by the same individual) investigate complaints about government departments and agencies and certain other public bodies in the UK, and the National Health Service in England. The site contains information on the complaint procedure, links to relevant legislation, and documents, including reports and press releases.

This section of the UK Parliament web site provides information on the archive collections held by both the House of Commons and the House of Lords. For links to published parliamentary material (current as well as historical) available online, including on external web sites, select "Digitised Historical Parliamentary Material".

POLIS - the Parliamentary Online Indexing Service - is no longer free. The information formerly provided by POLIS is now available in Justis Parliament, part of the Justis subscription service.

This site, provided by Adfero Ltd, provides in-depth coverage of political events and news. It includes information on parliamentary schedules, Bills going through Parliament and a database of MPs (found within the Reference section). The editorial board is made up of an MP from each of the three main parties.

This section of the UK Parliament site contains full text debates of Public Bill Committees and the latest versions of Bills (where appropriate) from session 2006-2007 onwards. Standing Committees on Bills were the predecessors of the Public Bill Committees and their debates from the 1997-1998 session to the 2005-2006 session can also be viewed.

The Scottish Parliament was re-established in 1999 after an interval of 292 years during which the UK Parliament legislated for Scotland. Its web site contains the Official Report of proceedings and written Questions and Answers, 1999 onwards, standing orders (governing parliamentary procedure), information on Bills in progress, committee papers, members' biographies and frequent news releases.

This web site allows users to search for information on MPs (voting histories, attendance records, expenses etc.). The text of  Commons debates goes back to the General Election of 1935; Commons written answers and written ministerial statements date back to the General Election of June 2001 and the House of Lords Debates from 1999 onwards. The site is run by a group of volunteers backed by a grant from a UK charity, UK Citizens Online Democracy.

The UK Parliament site has information on the activities, membership and publications of both the House of Commons and the House of Lords. Sections of the site include: a "What's On" page of current and future business; Hansard; Bills before Parliament; a directory of MPs, peers and offices; Committees; and parliamentary publications and archives. This section of the UK Parliament web site contains research produced by the Libraries of both Houses and by the Parliamentary Office of Science and Technology. The Research Briefings are regular publications of current interest produced by the Commons Library, Lords Library and Parliamentary Office of Science and Technology. Under "Parliament and constitution research" there is a selection of research papers and standard notes produced by the House of Commons Library on subjects such as: central government, constitution, Crown, devolution, elections, Parliament, and political parties.
